Understanding an E-book

a) The source which I chose is an e-book from Thompson Rivers University Library. The e-book bears the title of Induced Responses to Herbivory. c) The information source is written by experts in the field, Richard Karban such that the author’s affiliation with the University of California and Ian T. Baldwin affiliation with the State of New York University imply that they are employed by the University. It contains in-text citations in the “Introduction” section itself. The information source contains references at the end. Thus, it falls under the category of academic material. As it contains an “Acknowledgments” section, it has been reviewed by at least one referee. Hence, it is peer-reviewed. As it has no “Methods and Results” section, it is further classified as review material. Finally, classifying it into academic, peer-reviewed review material.
