The plant handbook that I’ve used for many years when berry picking in BC is the same one I find myself using for this course; Plants of the Rocky Mountains. This book was published by Lone Pine Publishing and is the combined work of Linda Kershaw who is a Botanist and Naturalist, Jim Pojar a botanist and former researcher for the B.c. Forest Service and Andy MacKinnon a research ecologist and registered professional botanist. This book is non peer-reviewed academic material, while it was written by these three knowledgeable people, I failed to find any evidence that it was rigorously peer-reviewed to make it academic peer-reviewed review material.
