Theoretical Perspectives for Griffith Woods Park

The current hypothesis of my research project is: White Spruce and Balsam Poplar seedlings require specific soil moisture within Griffith Woods Park located in Calgary, Alberta. This study will primarily be concerned with soil moisture and its effect on vegetation. Specifically, the study will aim to identify the effect soil moisture has on the evolutionary success and density of both specie’s seedlings. To a lesser extent, this study also relates to the fitness (reproductive success) and lifecycle of both species. Finally, there may be an opportunity to discuss other aspects of soil order within Griffith Woods Park.

At this point in time possible key words for this research project are: “Seedlings”, “Soil moisture“Mixed wood forest” and “Density”. Upon completion of my research project different key words may be added, as the results may highlight specific processes or patterns that are crucial to summarize the research. Additionally, if I were to submit this paper to a journal, I would possibly adjust the key words to be geared towards the aim and scope of the journal.
