A) The article I chose is “Mammal-mediated seed dispersal in Vanilla: its reward and clues to the evolution of fleshy fruits in orchids” by Emerson Pansarin and Kenji Suetsugu. In this paper, the researchers investigated whether endozoochory was involved in the seed dispersal of Vanilla bahiana, by determining what nocturnal animals were feeding on its fruits. B) This is an academic, peer-reviewed research article
C) The reason I chose my answer for part B) was because the article indicated that it was revised and accepted by a referee. The authors were also experts in the field of both general biology and plant biology. The article also contains primary raw, manipulated data, in-text citations, and references. In addition, the UNBC library specifies that this is a scholarly, peer-reviewed article.
