For my data collection, I went to the park in the late afternoon. I spent 5 minutes at each site (highly disturbed by humans, moderately, and low disturbance) recording all of the birds I saw with tallies next to their species names in my field journal. I then repeated this process 4 more times for the 5 required replicates. I did not run into many problems during my collection. I prepared my tables prior to arriving at the park, which cut out the need to write down species names as I saw them. I did have to add a couple of species in the field, so next time I will add more rare species to my table in preparation.
Overall, I plan to use the same technique in my following collections. As I did not run into much trouble with my collections, this seems like the way to go. Next time I will add more information about the weather and temperature outside to my notes though.
