The above table displays the size of surface area covered in inches of individual Cakile edentula. In addition to size I also indicated where there was damage to plant from obvious breakage, yellowing, or both. With regards to average plant size I expected to see a higher measurement the further away from beach access area because its easy to see when walking down the beach that the further you get the more space of the fore dune region is filled with Cakile edentula. I did not except to see that yellowing was more common the further away from entry. This may be due to the fact that the plants are just bigger and therefore the instance for more yellowing increases as the plant is larger. If the study was to be followed up on I would consider estimating what percentage of plants are yellowed as this may give a more accurate representation. I think that a simple yes or no indication on this measurement is misleading.
