My chosen source of scientific information is an article titled “The evolution of floral scent: the influence of olfactory learning by insect pollinators on the honset signalling of floral rewards” and can be accessed here: https://doi-org.uml.idm.oclc.org/10.1111/j.1365-2435.2009.01627.x.
To begin, this article is academic material containing all the requirements. It is written by two experts in the field, Geraldine Wright works for The Center of Behaviour and Evolution Biology Division for New Castle University, and Florian Schiestl, who works for the Insitute of Systematic Botany out of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. This paper also conatins in-text citations through out. At the end of the paper a bibliography is included.
Furthermore, this article is peer-reviewed academic material. The manuscript has been reviewed by Robert Raguso and two additional anonymous referees. The article has also been published in the British Ecological Society Journal. This paper is review material as opposed to research material. The paper reviews liturature about how olfactory cues specifically floral scent cures are typically the basis for how pollinators decide to visit flowers. As well as dicussing the conditions that favour floral scent production. Thus, the overall paper is peer-reviewed academic review material.
