- Biological Attribute I would be studying is the diversity of bird species on deciduous trees and coniferous trees.
- Three locations are chosen within the Claireville Conservative Area for the observations.
- Site A: Deciduous trees and shrubs: This area included the deciduous trees and shrubs, and the area has the artificial bird feeders. This area is between Site B and Site C.
- Site B: Deciduous trees and shrubs: This are included only the deciduous trees and shrubs, and no artificial bird feeders. This is the farthest area in the Claireville area.
- Site C: Coniferous trees: This area has only the pine trees, and closest to the highway.
- The reasons for the underlying processes for the patterns observed could be closeness of the sites to highway and industries in the area causing noise and disturbance. Secondly, the artificial bird feeders in the Site A. Closeness of the water source and other fruit or food bearing plants to the sites of study.
Hypothesis: The diversity of the bird species in Site A and Site B (deciduous trees and Shrubs) is higher compared Site C (Coniferous Trees).
- Response variable is diversity of bird species in sites, and the explanatory variable is types of trees (deciduous or coniferous trees).
