I decided to evaluate and classify the article “Wet and Wonderful: The World’s Largest Wetlands Are Conservation Priorities” from the Thompson River University online library. This article is a non-peer reviewed academic material. This article was written by several notable experts in the field who are attached to various universities, including Lauchlan H. Fraser from Thompson River university. The article contains in text citations, complete with a full bibliography list at the end. While there are acknowledgments to certain individuals who assisted with putting this article together, there is no evidence of revisions or acknowledgements of corrections by referees prior to publication. In this article, there are figures and tables showing statistical examples and results from studies, however, there is no method, results, or suggestion that this is a research paper. With these factors in mind, this article is safe to classify as a non-peer reviewed academic material.
