I observed an Ackerman’s point which is near Terrace in British Columbia. I would like to acknowledge that this land is famous for camping and for swimming in summer. It is known as Kitsumkalum lake provincial park. I went there with my tutor of coast mountain college for observing tree species and invertebrates. The temperature on that day is 11 degrees Celsius and cloudy. Then I visited this lake I was impressed to see its topography. This is located approximately 36 kilometers north of Terrace, B.C., in the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine. The lake is very deep but the river is not that shallow. There are many tree species like red alder, Spruce, etc. Also, invertebrate like may flies, stone flies. The vegetation of this area is dense and large trees. The weather was cold and temperature was not high but it was cloudy. But I saw people camp there and burn a fire pit in night time which affect the bird and invertebrates.

Interesting questions:

  1. How much red cedar species over there?
  2. How often people come to that place for camping?
