Blog Post 2: Sources of Scientific Information

The book I have found is “Environmental Ecology: The Ecological Effects of Pollution, Disturbance and Other Stresses” by Bill Freedman. This source would be considered academic, peer-reviewed review material. It is written by an expert in ecology with the incorporation of in-text citations and results from conducted research in related areas. It has been reviewed by a publisher and contains a list of all references as well. It however doesn’t contain conducted research by the author, therefore does not fall under the category of research.

  1. Books can be tough because they are reviewed by publishers and often have other reviewer’s as well, but don’t have the research component.
