Throughout the term, I have conducted many observations of Bow Park, with regards to intermittent stream reduction and its ecological impact on surrounding waterfowl bird populations. Issues with implementing the experiment only arose when I had to take a break from research at the beginning of the summer. There was a substantial gap in the data that may have seen alterations in stream reduction and bird abundance, though the most prominent reduction occurred during the month of august and September. The amount of time taken to undergo this research and experience sufficient change makes me appreciate the dedication that many researchers have to the science of ecology and the theory behind it.
