My data regarding my experiment involves two quadrats, one as a control and the second for the investigation, each starting with four dandelions. I was expecting the opposite outcome as the experimental plot had four dandelions at the end of my experimental period, which was between October 15th – November 12th, 2022. In contrast, the control plot had a new dandelion that was noticed on November 5th. According to my readings, that is not out of the norm or extraordinary, as an abundance of dandelions is a multifactorial process. I hypothesize that mowing frequency will increase dandelions’ abundance, but it is a unifactorial experiment and ignored other important factors. I believe there was a growing root that I had not noticed or it was not visible when I started my investigation. Other factors will be discussed in my final report.
