Hello,

My name is Gagandeep Singh, I reside in Winnipeg and for this project I have selected Muys park. It is an urban park which resides right beside a middle school. being close to a school park we don’t see a lot of vegetation in the park but their are trees, bushes, a small lake and elevation in the park. the trees are more on the boundaries and foot path. The majority of the park is covered by snow.

I have started visiting this park more (sake of research) since February 1st and i have made some notes hopefully they will be somewhat be clarified during this course.

potential questions:

Q1.) Is the wind and sun direction affecting the branching direction in the trees.

Q2.) During my few visits in the park their is lot of dog/ animal urination along the path. Will this affect the vegetation in that particular area (like the grass in the area will be long or short, nutrient content in the soil is it affected)?

Q3.) I see rabbit footprints in my backyard but when I visit the park not a single presence of any other animal is felt (except dogs), why is that so?

Location;

Muys park,

Winnipeg, MB

Canada.

49.8311 N, 97.1922 W coordinates

the photos are from February 1< 5:15 – 5:20pm, the weather was cloudy and occasionally windy, lot of snow, temperature: -17 C, felt like: -23 C.

Beautiful park though.
