During the virtual forest tutorial we used 3 sampling techniques: systematic, random, and haphazard. Of these three methods, the haphazard method had the fastest estimated sampling time, and was by far the most accurate method, with the exception of the most rare species White Pine. Broadly across all three methods, accuracy did decrease with the rarity of the species. Attached is all the data and calculations from the virtual sampling.
