Scientific information: Ecological speciation Journal Article

The article I choice is called “Ecological Speciation” by Rundle and Nosil (2004). I have attached a link at the end of the post to view the article. The article focuses on examining various occasions where ecology being the study of organisms in relationship to their environment play into adaptations in turn causing speciation events. As mentioned in the articles abstract ecological speciation can be broken into “an ecological source of divergent selection, a form of reproductive
isolation, and a genetic mechanism linking the two”. The article went through a review process spanning from August – November of 2004 when it was accepted and published. Therefore it is considered an academic peer-reviewed review material. The article did not pertain any lab or data collection from the authors which suggested rather than being a piece of peer-reviewed research material it was peer-reviewed review material. The documentation to support this classification can be found on the page 17 of the linked article underneath the reference list there is the review dates.
