My process of data collection is going well. So far, I have replicated three sample stations up to 8 times each, but I plan to replicate each station for 2 more times. This will lead to a total of 30 samples. I haven’t come across any major problem implementing my sampling design. I visited my sites at the same time each day i.e., 9am in the morning and observed each station for 10mins as squirrels can be seen a lot during daytime and plan to do so for next 3 replicates as well. So far from what I observed and the data, I noticed a pattern that support the prediction that area with greater habitat quality i.e., fruit/nut trees, will support greater population of squirrels.
I guess you are able to see a pattern with 3 stations. Which stations have fruit and nut trees and which don’t? You will have to consider your limited spatial representation in your paper.
