The goal of my research is to examine the preference of tree held by woodpeckers. The theoretical basis of my research is foraging behaviour and nesting behaviour of woodpeckers. The ideas underpinning my research include: wood density, insect distribution, sap preference, and tree stability and height. These may all play an effect on the preference of tree.
