Blog Post 2 – Sources of Scientific Information

The article I used is an article published in the Journal of the American Water Resources Association (JAWRA). I chose this article as it was written about a watershed in the city I live in. The watershed is called the Nose Creek Watershed. This is an area very close to my house and has many important resources.

This article was written by field experts with numerous in text citations and also has a bibliography of referenced material at the end. The bottom of the paper notes it was reviewed by 3 anonymous reviewers as well as the associate editor of JAWRA.

A 3-D Groundwater- Surface Water Interaction Model was used with accompanying methods and results making this paper a  peer-reviewed academic research paper.
