It was fun to get out there and collect some field data. For the most part, there were no difficulties besides deciding whether or not plants were in or out of my quadrat. As well, some of the plants were quite dried out, so they were a bit hard to identify. I also saw a coyote, which was really cool! I have now completed collecting my data, so I think that’s a good start. If I was going to do it again, I would have built a better quadrat marker.

some thoughts on the size of the quadrat would be useful, given the plants (forbs and shrubs) surveyed.
