The fastest estimated sampling time was Random or Systematic Distance sampling, while the slowest was Random or Systematic Area sampling. The percent error for the most common species was much lower than the two rarest species. The more abundant the species, the more accurate the estimate. This correlates with the larger the sample, the more accurate and precise the estimate will be. It is difficult to be confident in any estimate with a high percentage error. The most accurate sampling strategy was Systematic Area sampling.
