Find one source of ecological information. Based on what you have learned in the “How to evaluate sources of scientific information tutorial”, create a post in which you:
- a) Say what the source is (and/or link to it),
The source of ecological information I chose is an article titled Tracking Signals of Change in Mediterranean Fish Diversity Based on Local Ecological Knowledge, written by Ernesto Azzurro ,Paula Moschella, Francesc Maynou. This article was posted on the Plos One journal website, published on September 22nd, 2011.

- b) Classify it into one of the four types of information discussed in the tutorial, and
The article is an academic peer-reviewed research material.
- c) Provide documentation to support your classification.
My reasons for this classification are:
- All the authors are experts in the field of biology & ecology with affiliation with Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC), Barcelona, Spain.
- The source has been reviewed by more than 1 referee before its publication, this is indicated based on the acknowledgements mentioned at the end and the list of 59 references listed in detail.
- In-text citations are included all throughout the article referencing the list at the bottom of the website.
- The source does report methods and results of a field study completed by the authors.
- The article contains in-text citations and there are references/bibliography at the end of the article. Thus, making This makes it academic material. Experiments were conducted, including a survey questionnaire and the whole article explains the findings of said experiment, thus this is research material.
