The journal article I chose as a source of ecological information is sited at follows:
Tait, M.K., Brunson, M.W. (2021). Barriers and opportunities for cooperative wetland management: a case study in the greater Rocky Mountain National Park ecosystem. Wetlands Ecology Management. 30. 257-272. https://doi.org/10.1007/s11273-021-09849-x
It is an academic peer reviewed research article.
I say this because both authors are professionals in the study of wetland ecology, and have published many articles through the University of Utah. There is also a lot of in-text citations as well as a detailed reference list at the end of the article to support their findings and explain the study more accurately. This article also has a solid methods and results section which proves that it is a research paper that had an experiment done. It also indicated that it was reviewed by others in the section just above the reference list before being published for the general public to view.
With all that in mind, this is how I deducted the type of journal article I was viewing.
