- Create a blog post to discuss the collection of the initial data in Module 3. Did you have any difficulties in implementing your sampling strategy?
- I didn’t have any issues with my sampling strategy, I decided to go for random sampling and dropped the quadrat randomly then counted the birdsfoot trefoil plants that fell in the quadrat.
- If yes, what were these difficulties?
- Was the data that you collected surprising in any way?
- The only surprising thing about my experiment was how fast the birdsfoot trefoil plants died, I have been reading articles that say they are found usually in July and August. But, I expected to find a few in September but I guess the weather change was too harsh for them or maybe the nutrients required was not enough for them so they all withered away completely, I am still reading up on this and I will hopefully be able to find articles that I will discuss in both my anotated bibliography and final project.
- Do you plan to continue to collect data using the same technique, or do you need to modify your approach?
- I am done collecting data because all my values will be zero since the plants are all dead now, but I don’t feel the need to modify my sampling technique.
- If you will modify your approach, explain briefly how you think your modification will improve your research.
