The source of ecological information I have chosen is “Wetlands, carbon, and climate change” by W.J. Mitsch et al. 2013.

Citation/Open access link:

Mitsch, W. J., Bernal, B., Nahlik, A. M., Mander, Ü., Zhang, L., Anderson, C. J., Jørgensen, S. E., & Brix, H. (2013). Wetlands, carbon, and climate change. Landscape Ecology, 28(4), 583–597. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10980-012-9758-8

This is academic peer-reviewed research material about how wetlands serve as major carbon sinks. I know that it is peer-reviewed since it was published in the Landscape Ecology Journal. It is also evident that this article is research material because it contains sections such as methods, results, and discussion and they talk about their findings.

  1. Most journals are peer-reviewed and perhaps this is one you are familiar with. It does sound like a fairly obvious peer-reviewed journal. Remember that journal websites will state if they are and article acknowledgements will reference anonymous reviewers.
