Blog Post 3 – Pontious

Within my study, I plan to study Western Larch trees.

Some of the underlying pattern I have observed, are likely climate, soils and elevation.

The hypothesis of my research reports is that Western larch saplings annual growth is greatly dependent on moisture availability and overall climate of the area.

Thus, it is predicted that the leader heights of western larch trees within the SBSwk1 will be larger than that of the trees in the SBS mw due to the zone’s wetter climate.

Response variable – Leader Height (cm) – Continuous Data

Predictor variable – SBS subzones (wk1 vs mw) – Categorical Data

Sampling unit – Individual Western Larch saplings (5 years old)
