I have selected Haida Gwaii, BC, Canada as my selected area of research. Its approximate size is 500 kilometers. the area is so beautiful full of predominant forests. the floor of forests is covered with moss and ferns, has vast biodiversity. this area is recognized for its ecological significance and is a part of traditional territory of Haida nation. i have selected this area for study as i have been there for the field trip in last week of May and i have spent 5 days as a student and visited the nearby islands.
1.Potential Subjects for Research
2.Dynamics of biodiversity in the area
3.Climate and weather conditions
4.Forest ecosystem
5.Cultural and ecological connections
The following research questions will provide the guidance to my research in this area
1.how does the presence of hills, slopes, rivers influence the biodiversity in the area?
2.what is the climate and weather conditions are there in the area?
3.what kind of relationship is there between the natural environment and cultural practices of the Haida nations?
4.what kind of species are dominant in the forest ecosystem?
Hello! a beautiful area for sure
the entire area seems too large for a study of this size.
Might I suggest narrowing it down to a smaller area, where you can do some observational measurements?
Also, you should select an area you can revisit. Is this area accessible?
