The backyard is my sample unit, and 10 quadrats were my subsamples.
- I sampled 10 replicates for three consecutive days. On day 1, during the morning 9 am, on day 2, around 12:50 pm and on day 3, around 4:30 pm.
- I had no problems implementing my sampling design. The weather was clear during all the three days. The observation during the third day had less sunlight presence as the sun was setting at that time of the day. In my observation, there was no fluctuation in any of the replicates that showed an influence on my overall result.
- The soil moisture may have had an impact on the observations that were taken in the morning and evening.
I am not clear why you are sampling on different days? Slope and sunlight would be the same and how will you deal with replicates from different days that aren’t truly independent? I understand taking multiple soil measurements to get soil moisture.
