The theory behind my research project is anthropogenic impacts on wetland ecosystems directly affect the diversity of avian species within that ecosystem. My hypothesis touches on the ecological process of species diversity and ecosystem disturbances. It creates a link between human impacts on habitats and species diversity of those habitats. The ideas of anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems and the spatial variance of bird species are key factors that underpin my research. For my project I will conduct a review of literature pertaining to these points, as well as papers related to other potential influences on bird habitats in urban areas.
