Data Graph

In the process of creating a figure for this project I learned more about the data that I had collected, and how if I were to conduct this research again I would do certain aspects differently.

The figure was fairly straightforward to create. I took my data from a point count station across all of my replicates, and plotted distance from anthropogenic influence (the predictor variable) on the x-axis, and resulting bird species diversity (the response variable) on the y-axis. This created a pattern of avian species diversity varying across the study area.

Once I was finished creating the figure, I realized that it only took into account the results for overall species diversity. I will go back and create additional figures for wild species versus total bird species noted and compare results between them. The results from the figure created only detail a general point count station area, I could have included more information on the parameters of this area, such as more accurate distance to potential anthropogenic impacts and also plotted time of day observed, weather, etc. These points might be worth plotting over their own figures to look for any potential outside influences on my research.
