In my research project, I’m diving into the world of backyard ecosystems to understand how temperature influences the diversity of arthropods. Arthropods play important roles in ecosystem functioning, such as pollination and decomposition. By investigating how temperature affects their abundance and variety, I’m delving into fundamental ecological processes. Using my hypothesis, I will uncover the secrets of how these animals respond to changes in their environment.
My project touches on ideas like how living things interact with their surroundings and each other, and how these interactions shape the balance of life in ecosystems. For instance, warmer temperatures might affect where arthropods choose to live, what they eat, and how many of them there are. By exploring these relationships, I’m shedding light on the interconnected web of life in backyard habitats to understand the bigger picture of how temperature shapes the world of arthropods.
