Post 7: Theoretical Perspectives

The concepts of ecosystem and landscape ecology serve as the foundation for my research study on the health of blue spruce trees, which aims to understand the complex interactions that exist between human activity and natural ecosystems. I speculate that human-caused disturbances, such as pollution and close proximity to human activity, can affect the health of Blue Spruces by upsetting biotic relationships, changing the dynamics of nutrient cycling, and affecting successional trajectories. By using stratified and systematic sample techniques, I want to clarify these ecological processes in a range of environmental gradients. I hope that our study will help shape conservation and management methods for these famous trees. Key concepts like “Blue Spruce Health,” “Human Impact,” and “Environmental Gradient” capture the core of my work.
