I found the hardest part of making the figure was to decide what type of graph if should be, whether I should use a bar, line, or a combination of both. I decided on a combination of both. The percentage of plants that were flowering vs. non-flowering were depicted as bars on the graph and the mean leaf length and flower diameter were depicted as lines. Most of the data was expected, but I found that the mean leaf length was not as different as I thought it would be between the two predictor values (sun and shade).
remember that a bar graph usually captures discrete observations or records, whereas a line graph suggests that they are connected somehow
sometimes they are seen together in analysis – for example, a series of points may be analyzed with regression, and then a line (Regression line) is used to show the relationship between or amongst the records
