For my research on the roses, I used a stratified sampling strategy. I divided my yard into three different areas. Full sun, partial shade, and full shade. In each area, I sampled 5 roses making 15 replicates. what I found challenging was creating precise boundaries for each region. This took time and observations. Secondly, I found getting a consistent measurement was not easy. The soil’s level would change a little every time it was watered possibly resulting in inconsistent data. I was not expecting the ancillary patterns that occurred, like the number of blooms in the partial sun area to be so close to the full sun area. This suggested that partial sun is almost enough for roses to grow healthy. Makes me wonder if I should have included the amount of water each area gets in the hypothesis.
