Tables and Graphs

My graph is the average duck counts over the five-treatment levels, the habitats in each park, that I observed. I took the average duck count for each level and graphed it visually. It is easy to see the duck counts in each treatment level in each park. The graph is showing that the pond is the preferred habitat for the ducks and the preferred park is Valley Glen Park, the park with the largest surface area of water. This graph is a summary of the duck counts. In my description I included a description of each park to demonstrate the similarities of the park, as I believe without this and not reading the paper, it would be the first question asked.

Creating the graph was not difficult. I have made a couple graphs for each park that I could use in my end paper. I found the most difficult part was what should the graph look like and what information would be the best summary. I looked at outside sources for duck counts and graphs for ideas and comparison, what I found was most duck studies are over a very long period of time, like a decade or longer.  What was difficult was the description of the graph. When reading outside graphs, there was some with so much information and some with very little. I went through the tutorial and tried to incorporate what was needed. I believe this is the hard part of the creating the graphs and tables.

The outcome of the graph was what I expected in the sense that the park with the largest pond had the most ducks. My data reveled that the pond is indeed a preferred habitat for the ducks; however, my data does not show age or stage of the ducks and in my observations, I believe this matters.

The smallest pond had an unusually high duck density based on pond size compared to the other two ponds. In the smallest pond the ducks were often observed on the embankment of the pond in some tall grass. These ducks looked to be a hen and her older chicks. There were duck familial groups at each pond, but this one seemed to be on its own. I was not able to answer the question why did this group of ducks pick this pond? I would further want to explore what pond or habitat is the preference for differing stages of development.
