Design Reflections

Design Reflections

Reflecting on the initial data collection from Module 3, I encountered several challenges in implementing my sampling strategy:

1. Challenges:

• Inaccessibility to some parts of a wetland because some wetlands are densely vegetated or are often flooded.

• Fluctuation of water levels about the stability of sample points.

• Interference in the sampling sites from wildlife, which mainly includes beavers.

2. Surprising Data:

•  Above par levels of the biological population density in the central part of the wetland.

• Notable effects are probably caused by beaver activity regarding water movement and vegetation distribution.

3. Future Plans:

Repeat the technique with some changes to enhance the chances of making the information more accessible.

Employ GPS markers to ensure that the locations of the samples collection are uniform.

These reflections will help improve the research methods and increase the reliability of data collected during the observation in the future.
