Field Research Reflections

Reflective Post

In my final blog post, I reflect on the entire field research process and its impact on my understanding of ecological theory:

Research Design and Implementation:

·    Designing and executing a field experiment provided hands-on experience in ecological research.

·    Encountered and overcame practical challenges in the field, such as accessibility issues and disturbances from human activity.

Appreciation for Ecology:

• Fieldwork helped me realize that ecological systems are interconnected and are difficult to control or manipulate.

• Seeing how butterflies behave and where they prefer to be or not to be brought home, the fact that man and his activities can influence nature.

Learning Outcomes:

• Raised awareness of methods of data collection analysis and interpretation.

• He added that they came out with a better understanding of the concepts of ecology and how they can be applied in various scenarios.

About this Writing Exercise: This reflective exercise underlines the values of the field study in the connection between theory and practice.
