Theoretical Perspectives

Today, I will outline the theoretical perspectives of my study on flower colour preferences in bumblebees.

Ecological Processes

  • Habitat disruption: Everyday anthropogenic activity has an effect on bumblebee habitat and, therefore, populations within the affected ecosystem
  • Pollination: Bumblebees are highly efficient pollinators; this ability benefits both the insect and the plant, allowing for plant distribution. Additionally, they create a biodiverse landscape because they don’t pollinate one specific plant.
