Blog #2: Source of Ecological Info.

The source of Ecological information I chose to review is called “Using snow-track surveys to determine deer winter distribution and habitats”.

a) I found this source online, it is a journal article published in the Wildlife Society Bulletin located here: Using Snow-Track Surveys to Determine Deer Winter Distribution and Habitat on JSTOR (signed in with my school credentials) and also available here: DEon.PDF (gov.bc.ca)

b) Academic, Peer-reviewed research material.

c) It was written by an expert in the field (author is a biologist with Kokanee Forest Consulting in Slocan, BC and holds a M.Sc. in wildlife ecology and at the time was working toward a Ph.D. He is also a certified wildlife biologist with The Wildlife Society). It contains in-text citations and a bibliography.

The article specifically states it is Peer refereed and acknowledges one person by name and 2 anonymous reviewers.

It contains a methods and results section.
