Blog 1 Observations.

Hi Everyone,

March 22, 2023.

Weather 7 degree C, Sunny, Cloudy.

Terrace, British Columbia, Canada.

For my field project I visited Lakelse Lake Park. It is located in Terrace, British Columbia. I went there with my Instructor of Coast Mountain College. The water is moving towards the south direction. I visited their fishing population and identified different species of plants. The vegetation of this area is various kinds of large trees. For example, Red alder, cedar, various types of berries.  The weather was sunny and mostly cloudly. Many people visited there for camping and fishing. I was excited by watching the jumping of sockeye, Salmon and other fishes. The turbidity is low. The depth of water is too long.

Interesting Questions:

  1. How many common plant species are present in this area?
  2. How much sockeye population present in river?

  1. This sounds like a good site for your project. You could include a few more details here like what is the name of the river and how big is it. Is the whole park forested, what is the topography like etc….

Also don’t forget to include screenshots from your field journal.
