my data collection has been going well. I have already replicates 3 sample stations up to 10 times each, and already found some ideal migratory birds for future study, I recorded these 30 replicates by distinguishing the locations and dates, therefore, it led to a total of 15 samples. I went to each stations 2 times a day, the first time costs 20 minutes, and recorded every birds I can see from the telescope per 60 stpes, until walked through the whole site. And for the second time, I just stood in the central point of each site, and recorded for 10 minutes each. And I visited sites at the same time around 1:30pm each day.

One problem is the error in recording birds’ characteristics may led to some indistinguishable species, and also the habits of different birds made me confused to define whether migratory birfs or residents they are. However, the most part in data collection has been going well. Drawing birds’ well-marked features was a very efficient way to determine who they are.

In my field survey, I found that there were less birds observed in location 3 (which is near the dog park) than location 1 and 2, it may due to the higher level of human and dog activities in that area.
