My research based on the relationship between the global climate change and natural species. I focused on analyzing the arrival time of migratory bird species to determine the impact from climate change. I recorded the amount of birds each day, and analyzed the first arrival time of migratory birds to compare with the past record in Manitoba, while compared the annual temperature. And recorded the bird activities under different temperature in each day to figure out the correlation between temperature and birds.
The bird migration is an evolutionary process as a response to seasonality in environmental condition. The climate change led the global temperature increased, frequent occurrence of extreme weather, habitat loss, and the quality of overwintering habitats, which are all huge challenges to bird migration.
