Data collection

In addition to our data collection activities, we took measurements near the trails of Lakelse Lake Park to gather further insights into the surrounding environment. These measurements were aimed at understanding the characteristics and dynamics of the park’s ecosystem in areas easily accessible to park visitors.

As we ventured along the trails, we carefully recorded various aspects of interest. We measured the width and length of the trails themselves to assess their dimensions and accessibility. Additionally, we noted the presence of different plant species growing alongside the trails, paying attention to their height, density, and diversity.

We also made observations about the general terrain surrounding the trails. This included noting any changes in elevation, the types of soil or substrate, and the presence of notable landmarks or geological features. By collecting these measurements, we aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the park’s trail system and the ecological context in which it exists.

Our findings from these trail measurements will contribute to a holistic understanding of Lakelse Lake Park, providing valuable information for park management, conservation efforts, and enhancing visitor experiences.

As we continue our observations and measurements, we look forward to uncovering more about the intricate relationship between the park’s trails, plant life, and the natural beauty that surrounds them.
