Airdrie, AB Storm Water Canal Drainage
Attached are my notes and some photos of the area. Comments and notes about the space are included in the written notes.
My questions are:
Why do bulrushes not grow along the entire waterway?
Why are the marsh marigolds only in one spot on the canal (at the mouth)?
Why are the male mallard ducks grouped up? Most ducks seem to have found their seasonal mate at this time, what happens when they do not group together?

Hi, I like seeing field journals, as many forget to include, but please still include all the required information for the blog in the blog text as it is difficult to read the field journals in detail. Your questions are a good start and your study site sounds like a good spot though I don’t have a good sense of size, topography, species distributions etc. due to the lack of info in the main part of your blog post.
