blog post #7

My research project is about vegetation and invertebrates. I collect all the data from the Lakelese Lake Park, Terrace, BC. My research project is related to the biology and geography of this area. I collect all the data by using multiple instruments. For example, a water temperature sensor, D.O. sensor. Also, I studied about the air temperature, water temperature and turbidity of the lake. I also studied about the different kinds of invertebrates in this area. I got information about the various kinds of berries and try to know why taller and smaller plants have different amounts of berries as less and more berries.

The important keywords are:-

(i) Various kinds of vegetation.

(ii) Different kinds of invertebrates.

(iii) Turbidity of water.

(iv) Temperature.

  1. I am still not sure what your main hypothesis and prediction are and what your experimental design is (sample unit, # replicates etc.). However, this post is about your theoretical focus, which will form the basis for your introduction of your paper. Your blog post does not cover what your theoretical perspectives are. Similar to my other comments, I think you should spend more time on the tutorials in Moodle and make sure you read some papers that relate to your topic and try to think about what the ecological theory is behind your hypothesis and prediction.
