dandelion sampling

I chose to use systemic sample placement, ensuring the initial sample point for the divided sections was randomly selected. Using a 1mQuadrat I  chose to do 10 replicates for 10 days.

I think the only problem, I have had with implementing my sample design, is the weather changes. It gets darker around 5 pm and in the morning the ground is wet and at due point. Although I noticed that just before it started snowing, the dandelion field in the middle of the lawn, starts flowering more compared to other parts of the lawn.

I believe the combination of the increased moisture in the air and compact soil is causing this phenomenon. Which in turn,  favors my hypothesis that soil porosity impacts dandelion abundance.
