Reflections on data collection

Implementing the sampling strategy posed some difficulties initially. One challenge was selecting the appropriate sampling technique for my study subject, which involved observing crow behaviour along an elevation gradient. I ultimately decided to use a systematic sampling approach, dividing the study area into distinct elevation zones and collecting data systematically within each zone. However, determining the exact boundaries of each zone and ensuring consistent data collection across replicates required careful planning.

Despite these challenges, the data collected yielded valuable insights into crow behaviour across different elevations. One surprising finding was the variation in crow activity levels observed at higher elevations compared to lower elevations. While I expected some degree of variation, the extent to which crow behaviour differed across elevation zones was unexpected. This highlights the importance of thorough data collection and analysis in uncovering patterns and trends within ecological systems.

I am planning to use the same sampling technique for my further research work.
