Tables and Graphs

My graph is a scatter plot illustrating the relationship between elevation and insect pollinated flowering plant distribution which I made using Excel. I did have some difficulties organizing my information. My field data had a lot of possible graphs, and I was unsure which one was best. I used two transects with 26 replicates from each, in which I observed three species. I started by making individual graphs per species or transect but found the best overview was given using a vegetation total from both transects. I also had some difficulties structuring the contents of the figure caption but received feedback and researched further in hopes of providing a clear, insightful caption. I added a trend line to my data, and the results were as predicted by my hypothesis. I chose to collect data using the number of plants. However, I do have more questions on what causes this trend. In the future, it would be interesting to explore how elevation and slope affect soil moisture, soil minerality, and pH and the possible effect these variables have on plant distribution.
