As per the tutorial, paper needs to be written by expert, includes in-text citation and proper references to be classified as Academic material. So, this paper is written by Helen R. Bayliss and Fiona R. Beyer, who are experts in the field, includes in-text citation as well as references. Hence is is considered as Academic material.

To be considered as peer-reviewed, it needs to have referees. The paper has been reviewed by  Kath Wright, Gavin Stewart among others, so it is peer-reviewed.

It does not have methods and results sections, hence it will be considered as review material and not research material.

  1. For peer review, either the journal webpage will say peer-reviewed or the acknowledgements will mention ‘anonymous reviewers’. Other people that have reviewed that are named do not necessarily count as peer-review.
