Sources of Scientific Information

For post 2 I have decided to observe and try and classify the following article called “Over-exploitation of natural resources is followed by inevitable declines in economic growth and discount rate” by Adam Lampert. I will be going through the steps shown in the Flow Chart for Discriminating Among Different Sources of Information.

The following is from his biology at the Arizona State University website, “He is a theoretical ecologist interested in general principles that apply to a wide variety of ecosystems at different spatial, temporal and organismal scales.” The article also includes in-text citations and has a bibliography.

Going to the bottom of the article, there is a section going over all the peer reviews that were made for this article. “Journal peer review information: Nature Communications thanks the anonymous reviewers for their contribution to the peer review of this work. Peer reviewer reports are available.”

The post also has subsections titled “Methods” and “Results” which means that the following article would be classified as an “academic peer-reviewed research material”.
